I've heard about this new rabbit. When's it coming out? I assume they'll make a wabbit diesel. Will they put a TDI in it or just wait a couple years and use the bluetec?

I would think it would be a pretty good car, but it won't look as good as your Benz.

Keep the benz. You could have allot of work done by a mechanic for $15,000 and you may be surprised at how much free time you have at school if you don't go drinking every night....or maybe that is just my school.

Seriously though I am a senior in Civil Engineering and had enough time to design and install a WVO conversion on my 240 last semester as well as other assorted maintenance, despite it being the busiest semester so far.

No diesel rabbit anytime soon. I'd stick with the benz as well or buy a used TDI if you really wanna go the VW route. The 2.5 engine in the Rabbit is not really economical at all.

If you do, do your homework! Check out www.tdiclub.com and educate yourself on what to look for. TDIs are great cars if they have been taken care of!

That's really surprising to me as the VW diesels seem extremely popular. Maybe it's just my skewed perspective?

A TDI is a car worth travelling for! Keep an eye on the forums at TDIclub.com and get a feel for pricing. It's well worth paying fair market value for one that has full maintenance records indicating TB changes, use of correct oil, etc... Good luck!

Did you make the "used water heater" processor? I want to try that. Not for my TDI (word on the street is BD is still too thick for the VW injection pumps), but for my beater F250 (7.3L IDI diesel).

Yes, the appleseed, sorry. Thanks for the tips, BTW. I ordered Girl Mark's book, but it hasn't arrived it. I have an oil supply, and several pumps to use. Filter bags too.

We are in the market for a new car for one of my kids (is it any wonder I never have money for that SL that I am always drooling over....)

We looked at the Rabbits (gas engine). Very nice car. Well equipped. Runs really good. Decent price.

We are probably going to get one for her.
