Hi,
As many of you already know,I am planning to get a W140 S600 when I sell my S500.I recently came across a 1991 Bentley Turbo-R with 49,000 miles for pretty cheap.The car looks good in the pictures and is black on black.The owner says the paint has some cracks in it.Should I just steer clear of this car or is it a good one.Also,does it have some of the options an S600 has
1.Rear Heated Seats
2.Rear reclining seats
3.Dual-zone Climate Control
4.Is it as fast as my S500
5.How reliable are they?
6.Are they smooth like my S500?

WOW,Ive read some reviews on this car and so far ive only gotten positives.How are Rolls-Royces of the same era?I definetly dont wont to give up any power,I just thought it would be nicer just because its a Bentley!

One of my good friends was the original owner of a Rolls-Royce,but it was very,very old.He never had a problem with it.I think it was from 1978?Im still doing research,but I cant find anyone that had a problem with it.Im really taking your facts into consideration heavily,because I definetly want a car that is equalivent or better than my S500,nothing less.It is a Bentley after-all.Ive also read that the Turbo-R only has 220HP!!I would really like to know how much HP these cars really have.
Carleton any imput?

Man I thought about buying an older RR a few years back until Ashman told me how much shocks cost. They're so tempting, 20K+ you can get a nice looking one. Then you figure it's 5k for shocks, front only! Jeezuz!

Ive done so more research and I just want to see this car,even if I dont buy it.The owner said the paint had some cracks in it,and I just want the experience of driving an older Bentley.I think im really stuck on the W140 S600's though.

I know someone who has quite a few Bentley's he loves them. I like them a lot to, they are the ultimate GT car really. RR and Bentley are the only makes out there that can really out do MB in the quality department.

He just bought a black Continental, they are a very, very fine car. Its the only car that really makes my W126 feel cheap. There interiors are simply amazing, the convertables have carpet that is just so soft.

They are fast to, Bentley's are always pretty sporting.

Well at least from what I have seen people that own them don't care about maintaince costs. They don't care if its in the shop, they drive another one of there cars, cost is never mentioned. I do know you had better know what you are buying with these cars our you will get burned.

Thats the one I like, if I had an extra $300k or so sitting around I'd go for it.

Im probably gonna pass unless its a minty and checks out PERFECT,just like my S500

.I really want to go see it,just to have the experience of driving a Bentley.I still really want a S600.
