Oh yeah, thats what I need in my home office!:D

Looking for a decent desk to replace the table I am currantly typing this on.

That looks interesting, its the only one on ebay thats close enough for me to pick up. A bit more than I wanted to spend though, and I'm not sure if I like the top. Black marble would certainly be better.

Heh

Completellllyyy unecessary! Those pieces of furniture are insane. I'll stick to IKEA, thank you!

I am more of a fan of the modern, sqarish, stainless steel Scandinavian stuff.

This isn't ikea though..1K for a glass topped table

Man, you can get a hell of a desk for $60K, huh? That Manchester desk is nice-looking, though. I'd take it over the Ikea anyday.

Too expensive and old fasioned for me. Here's the desk I want.

The best part is I already have that computer tower.

catmandoo62 08-29-2006 10:05 PM

my desk puts them all to shame.the dashboard of my 86sdl,plus the view out my 360 degree office window is awesome to say the least, plus if i don't like the view i just keep driving eventually it will change to my liking.

TheDon 08-29-2006 10:12 PM

my desk cost like 45$ at wal mart.. id like a desk made from a WWII air plane wing or something cool like that.. something mechanical like

im on ikea.com now browsing.. i like alot of the stuff.. its very.. modern looking.. damn. no ikea around for 1k miles.. damn...oo delivery!

Hatterasguy 08-29-2006 10:56 PM

The downside with Ikea is they won't have the desk I want in stock anytime soon. So I am looking elsewhere.

I kind of like quality so I would prefer real wood vs partical board. I already have a partical board fake wood TV stand. It only cost $30 an serves its purpose.

I want quality but at a decent price.

I love Ikea...it's such a fun store to be in.

When I did an internship at Merrill Lynch over the summer it seemed that many traders had the same exact thing. :)

Hatterasguy 08-29-2006 11:41 PM

I don't need four computer screens, I'm not a trader. I just want something tastefull that I can stick a flat screen moniter on, and a bunch of paper work.

Nice set up though.

kknudson 08-29-2006 11:50 PM

Ok for the average person 4 is an extreme, but I tell you even now working on other things having this much desktop real estate is UNBELIEVABLE.

Even when I had just 2 it was a BIG improvement.
And most newer video cards have two ouputs, I think the second video card was under 60 bucks. And it is a pretty good one.

Note, I am working on a 6 screen setup, in addition to this.

Possible a Xmas present to myself.

Hatterasguy 08-30-2006 12:02 AM

I have enough trouble with one computer screen!:D I don't like computers and they don't like me.

I havn't found a desk that I think will look good.

Can't decide if I want modern, classic, or maybe something asian.

See the problem is I found a nice glass covered book case set at Ikea that I like. So I will remove my old book shelves and put my books in one of them. But now I need a desk that will work with these since they will be side by side.

JamesDean 08-30-2006 12:48 AM

my desk is old. it was my mom's from school. i also have a 4' table next to it and a 6' butted up against the 4'. its arranged in an L.
