95 Grand am question
A good friend has a 95 with the 2.3l Quad four. When it warms up the torque converter seems to lock up stalling the engine.
Any ideas what might cause this??? |

Might be the tourque converter solonoid... I think that's the name for it.
The thing that controls when the torque conver locks up, is malfunctioning... If it's an around town beater, just D/C it, and remember NOT to go more then 45mph... Perfectly fine for in town, but you'll probally get a CEL. ~Nate

So, we can test this by disconnecting the lock up solenoid? I'm assuming this would be a connector on the transmission. |
