Registering an older Diesel in Mass
Is this possible?
Im trying to sell my mercedes 93 300D to someone in Mass but they are worried htey wont be able to register it in Taxachussetts becuase of the new law saying they cant register a 2007 diesel. WIll my 124 diesel get registered in MA? THanks!!

they are one of the anti diesel states... cali, vermont, mass, are some of them..

MA is one of 5 CARB states. There are no new diesel auto sales here since 2004. You can register ANY year diesel auto as long as it has 7,500 miles and has been previously titled.
FWIW, the local dealership had two 2005 E Class CDIs for sale this past summer...both with very lo mileage. Also, there is a short window (Sept thru Dec 2006) where VW will be permitted to sell the V10 TDi Touareg (which has been fitted with DPF) and must be fueled with ULSD. |
