I am one of those people moving up in the ranks....my average is only 4.7 posts per day.....but I am working at it every day. :D 10,000+ here I come! :D :D

Is it just me or does the forum server not keep a steady update on our number of posts? The whole time I was posting on the Open Discussion tonight it didn't increase my post count....but it did when I posted in the tech and diesel discussion areas....whats up with that? :confused:

Edit: Its true....I went and posted a "test" post on the diesel section, and it immediately increased my post count by 1, when I deleted it, it went down by 1. Is there a reason why posts in the OD don't get counted? Or does the server count them and add them on later?

They don't count od posts at all. If they did, B would now be up to about 30,000.

According to webmaster, the change was made in February 06 to where OD posts don't count.

OD posts are for fun and don't really help anyone. As Tom said, "If they did, B would now be up to about 30,000" as would several others. Who wants a post whore to get a gigillion bazillion posts in OD when people like us work for our posts helping in the TH/DD forums? That wouldn't be fair. Just look at Benzworld where there are many 10k+ post members that spend all their time in the Off Topic forum.
