Jehovah's witnesses playing dirty!

Now they're sending little old southern ladies to my doorstep!

I lost a clutch in a Toyota PU and was unable to get it to grab enough to get from the stop sign across the street to a little gravel pull off to wait for a tow.
Two well dressed (too well dressed) young men jumped out of the car behind me and pushed me across the intersection. I said thank you and they asked me if I believed in Jesus... I thanked them again, but didn't let them get to the part about Jesus burying the gold in up-state NY.

I worked with several "Witnesses" at a past employer and they were the among the most back stabbing, unethical people I had ever had dealings with. One in particular would tell out and out lies to further his position with the company.

Even though I go to Mass most every Sunday, I am more and more disgusted with religion all the time.

All the JW's I ever met seemed like the most unhappy people I had run into. Not really good advertising for your particular faith, I would say.

The last time I was in Brooklyn I was amazed at how much real estate they appear to own. Nothing like the Catholic church of course, but then they haven't had nearly as much time to accumulate wealth as the Catholic church either.

For obvious reasons they like to target areas like mine, centuries old houses with overgrowth preventing them, for the most part, from being seen from the street.

They are about the only ones with the balls,or presence of mind to clamber up the hill and reach the bell, despite signs warning"Trespassers will be Violated"

My standard reply is to begin asking their views on the Gnostic gospels and what, exactly,is their view on the Papal Bull "Unigenitus"and how it helped bring about the age of enlightenment, and DID Vatican II allow birth control?

After talking to me they are glad to get away.

I can imagine.

What if they started talking about Benzs, Carleton? Do you think that would disarm you enough to get you sucked into why you should visit the Kingdom Hall?

They had no idea they were talking to the architect of the Great Wall of China did they? Mistress has encountered them on several occassions and what worked for me was to tell them I am Jewish, they actually backed up as if the sidewalk was going to part....a friend of mine had the same problem with them coming to his door, so he answered the door stark naked and they never came (pun intended) again..

Well,we generally get them twice a year, maybe they're witnesses, maybe morons, all cut from the same beige polyester cloth no doubt.

I DID once enquire about their meetings to wit,did they serve alcohol, were there young single women or did they provide"hostesses"for the male clients,{nudge, nudge, know what I mean squire?}That was 2 years ago and boy, that {rainbow}troop,1 white guy,1 black and some vague Pacific rim type left in a hurry muttering something about "the damned"...but then I love flattery

WHAT! waste the Lord's precious amber fluid on those misguided hooples?

MM,mmm, come to think of it I do have a case of cheap Canadian Club someone gave me.

Not a bad Idea,I'll see if their scruples are as long as their skirts, but really, nude hosiery with dark blue skirts is quite an offense to the eye,and their hairdos may have been popular in Sheboygan or Duluth 10 years ago but, please.

Perhaps the repeated application of the Holy Pole will make them see the light

If nothing else, it will make them want to "raise those legs to Jesus."

Did you show them your horns?

They came to my house a while back when I wasn't home and my wife said she was busy so they came back when I was there. I told them my wife was always busy and to never come back again.

My son came home with a book one time from them and it said that the Christmas Star was put there by Satan so that Herod would know where to find the baby Jesus. Where did they get that from? I tossed the book. There is enough dogma in the Catholic church, forget about someone else's church.

When I lived in the "suburban outlying" Richmond District of San Francisco
they sent out JWs who were from El Salvador - nice enough people.

But really persistent, and you could have one of their Bibles without even asking for it.

When the JWs would come to my parents house they would be greeted warmly by my parents with the line "We're Catholics" and that was enough to make them scram.

It was from some baseball movie or story or something. When Sandy Koufax came to the Dodgers, one of the players who was from the south (biggot) asked Sandy if he would show him his horns.
