Courtesey Light in 190E.

Can someone tell me if there is a relay operating the courtesey light on my 190E. I have pulled the fitting out and the bulb is O.K. During the process of trying to locate the problem I could hear a clicking noise when I operated the door switch, and the lite began working again. It promptly failed some days later never to go again. Thanks.
