Hey maybe we saw the same plane

Any whoo I witnessed three A-10's strafing a convoy in a far away land, by far the most awesome and humbling sight I have ever seen.

They should have put a camera on the "recieving" end... now that would be waaaay cool, but then again I'll fire a single .50 DU round per min instead of 1200 lick my balls rounds can you say "cost efficiency" ?

Check out the Imax film "Fighter Pilot." You'll see exactly that! It (the movie) is out on DVD now, and I can highly recommend it.

You could always save up and make an offer on one of the Iowa class battleships from Uncle Sam I think it's 125lbs or so of powder per shot!

Did anyone ever see Jeremy Clarson gun down the Corvette with the twin 7.62mm miniguns attached to the Hughes 500 with Mike Dillon at the wheel?

Cheaper than a Hellfire!

Know your talking 16in guns! I was checking them out on the battleship MA. They are freaken huge, really one cannot comprehend how large they are unless you actualy see the rounds and walk in the turrets. When firing the cleared the decks, because the shells would create so much suction that they could actualy suck a person off the deck!

As I recall, the 16' guns on an Iowa class use 6 110lb bags of cordite per round. Remember, they are gonna launch a 2500lb projectile over 24 miles. Further note: With a good spotter, they can achieve "minute of accuracy". Pretty good from that distance.
