Question Going to Costa Rica, any tips?

I 'll be going to Costa Rica for the first time in the next few weeks on business, but plan to have a few days & nights to explore.
Anyone ever been recently, and have any tourist tips?
Places that are must sees...things to have to do...???
thanks.

East coast or west coast?
I have an ex relative that does fishing charters on the west coast.

Don't leave your valuables laying around in your hotel room. Don't touch colorful frogs unless you are only a few minutes from a hospital.

The place is great, the people friendly, and the country is beautiful. The buses are crappy however. Go to the mountains or a beach on the pacific side.
