Are bullet proof vests illegal?

Not too long ago I purchased a bullet proof vest from Ebay and my friend is telling me that I can get in tons of trouble for having it. It is a nice level 4 vest with a front ceramic plate that can be removed.

Any ideas about my friend's statement?

What would happen if I just wore it out for the fun of it to the supermarket or something? lol

Thanks

Getting ready?

Kamil, are you getting ready for your life of crime on the run from the police for your outstanding seat belt warrant?

It's either for the Paki Princess or his new fugitive status

LOL....no I had the vest for a few weeks now. I just started to think in case the cops decided to storm my house for my seatbelt warrant.

Seen cops plenty of time, they just knock your door down and start tearing **** up in the house.

is it really that bad where you live? Don't believe there are any federal laws against having one. Call your local cops (from a pay phone) and ask about state/local laws. I don't care if you have one or not, although I'm a little interested in why you need one. Oh, and BTW, if I have to take somebody out, I'm gonna cross their eyes anyway.

I never seen one in person so I went and bought one just to see what it's like. These damn things are pretty heavy....especially with the ceramic plate.

Plus my two friends and I were going to do a prank....it will sound stupid to you old guys but we would have had fun with it. My two friends are both about 6'6 so they were going to dress up in black suits, black glasses and the little ear pieces---in other words, they were going to look like the president's body guards. I'm only 5'8, so I was going to get dressed in a white button down shirt, tie, black pants, AND the bullet proof vest. We were then going to go to a mall and they were going to keep calling me PRINCE KAMIL while pretending to be my bodyguards, and make it look like I'm someone very important. I am the cockiest person you'll ever meet so I have the cocky walk down pat with my head looking up in the sky. Let the flaming begin.

The flaming probably began at about age 12-13. A good therapist could nail it down closer though I bet.

This would have undoubtedly worked. Foreign princes are often seen shopping at the Gap in suburban NJ malls. Although when I met Queen Noor while standing in line at Manchu Wok in the food court, she was carrying a Bed, Bath and Beyond shopping bag, so you never know.

Here's a quick lesson for you in personal security. Cops and security guards wear the vests on the outside to deter people from taking action. They want you to see it because it sends a message. VIPs and private bodyguards wear vests under their clothes to avoid attracting attention to themselves and the people they're protecting. People who take great lengths to attract attention to themselves in order to show that they are important probably aren't all that important.

Really? I never heard it in a song but I would like to. Do you know the name of it or who sings it?

Did you or the Paki princess ever buy the rope ladder?

Escape ladder....seatbelt warrant....man purse....bulletproof vest.

Try a 2 AM Sat. morning walking tour of downtown Camden

I strongly recommend that you test the performance of the vest before you start strolling around some of the sportier New Jersey neighborhoods.
