Yah, that's it. On a side note, I am leaving tomorrow night for a junket to VA, and the water is above 60 still, so I am going to don my 3/8" suit and do some windsurfing. Can't wait

Sweet! You'd need an 8 3/8" for our shores at this time of year! Have fun (and watch for those shallow sandbars)!

I actually like going this time of year, because the damn stingrays aren't as bad and there are no jellyfish. Should have one or two days of 25+ |

My only gripes with NJ (and I've lived here almost all my life. That is, unless you consider Staten Island to be part of NJ, which it pretty much is. ).. is the cost of living here is relatively high.
The housing market in NJ pretty much exploded over the past few years. The 'bennies' all moved down here, and drove up the property costs. Luckily, that "property boom" is coming to an end, I believe. Developers over-developed some areas, and built way too many housing complexes. Due to the increased taxes, and over-crowdedness of the state, some people are moving out, and property values are slowly dropping to a reasonable level. My other gripe? The typical stereotype "Jerseyite". Oh, yes.. those types. You know the ones.. "I'm not a bad driver, I just hate all people from other states".. "We have different views on (topic).. but I'm right, and you're wrong.. also.. the rest of the state agrees with me!". Come to think of it, certain people here fit the bill perfectly. Just because YOU may be an inconsiderate, foul-mouthed, uneducated, discriminating little child, doesn't mean the rest of the state is the exact same way. I've met more than one of these people.. and they always try to pass the buck as being "A jersey thing". Arrogance and *******s are a nation-wide thing. And.. I still think NJ has the best pizza in the country. Yes, better than NY, and less pricey. You haven't had TRUE pizza, until you go to a true italian-owned mom&pop pizza shop in a good area. And diners? We have the best of those, too.. open 24-7, for most of them. I love it here, personally.. but maybe that's because Ocean County (and the rest of Central / South Jersey) is a little more laid back and kinder than northern NJ.. who knows. |
