On the 22 mag you can get away without one but it is much more effective with a scope.

ok thats good to know. i wanted to have a scope but i wanted to make sure it wasnt pointless on a lower powerd rifle.

A 3x9 would be perfect, the .22 mag is very accurate @ 200 yds so its nice to have that zoom.

i havent gotten to shoot it yet but i cant wait. me and my mom also bought my youngest brother the remington 870 express for christmas.

the collection has begun . my grandma is thinking about giving me her old guns. if this keeps up im gonna need a big gun safe.
