my trofeo is limited to 118 mph, wouldnt go faster, i kept it pegged for a while. Mabey if it was pointed down hill, but whatever
I went around a (normally) light corner at that speed, tires were screaming, but it wasnt uncontroable. The suspention unloading was unnerving though, kinda jerks the car around, but yeah. I am INVINCIBLE, or whatever. time for bed ~Nate

(Mr. seen and done everything here... ) I was in a roughly 80 mph wreck once ('72) while hitch-hiking (blowout, single car accident, flipped over god knows how many times, everyone but the driver thrown out, 8 people (?!?) in the car). Two guys got killed, one of them sitting next to me. I couldn't walk til the next day and was unable to work for about 10 days. Nothing broken, miraculously, but I felt like I'd been worked over with a baseball bat on every square inch of my body. To be strenuously avoided, trust me.

I've done 140mph on Texas backroads in my IROC (back in 1987), and I've taken my 1995 diesel to it's peg at 115mph earlier this year. I can find places in Texas to get to 115-120 without risking my life or others.
But it's a big leap to get to 180 on a public highway, and I certainly don't take a hand off the wheel over 100.
