Bittorrent, anyone?

Anyone ever use Bittorrent? It's really amazing what's can be downloaded with this P2P system. Movies, music, all in great quality, incl. many recent releases. According to the disclaimers, it ain't even illegal so long as the downloads are used at home only. I use Azureus as client with a 6MB ADSL connection, works well. 1GB takes usually 2-3 hours to receive.

Have a look yourself.

Oh, it's plenty illegal, but that doesn't stop me!

I'd use uTorrent instead of Azureus. Azureus is java based I believe, and is where I got a 4 or 5 viruses from. They didnt seem to do anything but I had them nonetheless and were deleted.

Yeah you can get pretty much anything.. games, music, movies, and LOTS and LOTS OF PORN! WAHOOOOO

...that does bug me a bit :( , but for the majority of the films I download I won't go to the cinema anyway, nor rent them, or will see them on TV sometime. It has to be killing the industry, though. Some general copyright-tax on information carriers would be okay with me.

My NIS & Windows Defender are pretty virus proof, but I'll give uTorrent a try sometime. Yes, the porn is there, A LOT.

Bittorrent is s-l-o-w. I rarely see download speeds of more than 40KB/s and often my upload speeds are higher than downloads.

Can't beat it though, there are some things you just can't find on the p2p networks.

I use Limewire a lot but you can definitely find more using torrents.

I'll have to check out utorrent.

I use azareus. Never had any problems (other than hoggin up the bandwidth). It's nice finding a couple of things before going to bed, then waking up to the entire discography of artists. I also use Soulseek.

I've used it before (Bit Torrent) and DL'd 12 hours worth of video, the whole series "an MG Is Born". The sound didn't quite macth the visuals though, it was like a full second off, so I haven't tried anything else. It is cool, though.
