After reading the texts of the phone messages, I'm more surprised by his drug usage than by his homosexuality. I can see how he could be pressured into denying his own sexuality as a result of his religious tradition, but drug use seems more of a directly volitional action, pretty easily resisted.

He goes around paying for gay sex so how can he not know he has bisexual tendencies at the very least?

One thing I have learned in my life is most of the serious Anti-gay people are closet homo's. I am not a fan of the lifestyle but I really don't care wither way.

I don't know the extent to which he denied it to himself. It seems pretty obvious he has had to deny it in his social and professional circles. Having grown up in those circles I have seen quite a number of people go to great lengths to deny their own sexuality in an attempt to preserve their standing in the community. Many of those acts of denial have resulted in a great deal of pain for wives and children. It will be interesting to see Mel ????'s take on the situation. (The evangelical who used to work with Falwell before he came out of the closet).
If he hasn't been denying his sexuality then he's been deceiving evangelical parishoners with his preaching for years. In either case, the psychologist who attempts to bring his mind back to some level of integrity has to be up to a big challenge.

I love it when the bible thumpers take a fall. It is always for the best stuff. What a hypocrit this guy is. He is right up there with Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker. I love it when someone wants to tell you how to live your life is doing all the stuff he says you shouldn't do.

Then there is the meth. I have done some stuff in my day, but I would never try that stuff. Besides all the other bad health effects it has, it will rot your teeth out because the meth smoke is acidic.

That's right. He is (was) a pastor. Maybe he tried to get into priesthood but couldn't make the cut.

Once in a while and you are fine. Every day, teeth get loose and hair will start to fall out. Just like the meth cooks.
