The Catholics wouldn't take him. He's too poorly educated. He only has an undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University.

Now he's saying he didn't have sex with the man, but just bought meth from him after paying the man for a massage when the man was recommended to him by a Denver hotel where he was staying. He didn't use the meth but threw it away because he knew that using meth was wrong. All this after denying to reporters a couple of days ago that he ever knew the man. Whew! Am I glad he didn't really commit a sexual sin and he's just a meth buying liar.

I couldn't help but bust out laughing at the mention of Oral Roberts... in this context of course.

All kidding aside, the guy's probably been messed up since he was a kid. If you suspect your kid is gay, better to just let things flow than to try and beat the devil out of him. Poor guy. It'd be like me trying to deny my own heterosexuality, just a million times worse because at least I'd have people telling me it was OK to be hetero.

What is the catholic church's stand on pedophilia? If they are against it, why did they allow Cardinal Law to do the Catholic shuffle for doing the Catholic Shuffle? He got to retain his rank and got moved to the Vatican, IIRC.

I'm not at the Vatican, so I can't answer your rhetorical question.

I can say that Catholic priests are no more likely to be involved in pedophilia than other professions that work with under age children.

There is a strong focus on the Catholic church, while right under our noses people from all walks of life commit crimes of pedophilia. Watch MSNBC, there hasn't been one Catholic priest caught.

It's not rhetorical. If you are against it, you are against those who aid those that perpetrate the crime or are accessories. That man is Cardinal Law. So, discipline should have been meted out by the pope and not Law himself? Or do we allow criminals to sentence themselves today?

The church not only has members who commit the acts, they cover it up for their members all the way to the pope. So, if that does not say that the organization is corrupt all the way to the top, I guess you are right. What was Law's punishment? He was allowed to resign FROM THE DIOCESE. WTF? Next time I speed and get caught, can I name my own punishment? What does the pope do? Reassign him to a post in the Vatican. Not even a demotion or drumming out of the service. Hmmmm... People from all walks of life commit pedophilia. That is true. Do they also cover up like the catholic church does with the Catholic Shuffle? Do they claim some sorta moral guidance? What does that moral guidance say about what Law did?

the catholic church REALLY needs to let its priests marry.... women. then they will attract a typical cross section of sexual preferences in its priests.

one of my buddies is catholic. i state this to him and he argues. they dont have pedofile priests in other countrys. i say oh yeah they do, they just dont have as free a press!

Married men also commit acts of pedophilia. That is not the point tho. They are still corrupt at the core. A cardinal, besides being a bird, is a prince of the church. If he misbehaves, it is up to the pope who is just about the equavalent of the king of the group. Since he cannot and/or will not do anything about it besides the shuffle, it tells me that such behavior is tolerated and when it gets exposed, shuffle again.

Dunno what he is. Could be gay or bi.

Well, male hooker has sex for money. Maybe offer him more money to talk? That would be "lip service" (not the Jenna Jameson kind) for more money and less real fluffing work.

I smoked but I didn't inhale. He knows wrong like that too? Both of these gentlemen were full of it when they said it. I didn't believe Bill C then and I sure as hell don't believe this guy today. IMO, his defination of "wrong" hinges on whether he is caught or not. If he was not caught, it is not wrong. Other than that, "wrong" may have meant that the meth quality was suspect or it had a bad taste.

I suppose next he would tell us that he paid the man for sex but felt it was wrong so he left the motel. Maybe I should find that cult. I do have oceanfront property in AZ to sell. They might believe anything.
