Unhappy My mercedes has been wrecked

So I got back from a fishing/sailing trip last night. Put my 10 month old in the hospital this morning (asthma--dr. probably jumped the gun, but they usually do with 2 lawyer parents). Gotta spend the night here tonight. Wife came with 4star dinner and a bottle this pm for me at the hospital. I knew something was up. She breaked on an oil spot in her parking garage and slid into a guardrail. Smashed in the rear passenger door and chewed up about 3 in. of the front pass. door. Thank god she is ok, but damn this car is getting expensive. Door opens and closes fine, but I know it will be $2K+. My neice wrecked my Porsche this summer and I couldn't get it out of my mind when I drove it after it was fixed, so I sold it about a month ago. Only other wreck she has had was 20 years ago and she was 12 driving her dad's Dodge Power Wagon --got hurt bad in that one.

Yeah it sucks everything happens at once sometimes. My friends E300D was nailed by a truck in a parking lot. Dented in the rear drivers door, and part of the quarter panal. Girl was on her cell and cut the wheel to soon, trucks bumper did the deed. Cost about $2k if I remember correctly.

I'm not really an expert (although I play one on the internet ), your car doesn't appear to have enough damage to be "totalled" relevant to the value of the car.

At least your wife is okay, which is all that matters.

I pray that your 10 month old is fine.

Hope your child is ok - those hospital visits with loved ones are always rough and nerve-wracking.

Crappy about the Benz, glad to hear no one was hurt.

Metal is metal just be glad the family is OK. I remember when my wife had a bad head on in my prized Lexis which was the first luxury car I purchased on my own, I'm glad the safety features acted as advertised.

Why so many wrecks associated with this site over the last few days? Bad ''shop karma?
Hope your daughter's ok.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. 1. I didn't get mad about the wreck--my only question was, are you ok? 2. My daughter is fine--her regular Ped is out sick and when I took her in for a flu shot today, her O2 sat was about 92. This was a BS reading because it was 95 when we got to the hospital. She is just doing some breathing treatments, but it is RSV season, so the young DR wanted to be safe.

Seriously, thanks for the thoughts!
