Saw it yesterday. It was kinda funny. Not the greatest nor the worst. In terms of value for money I'd say it was a push.

Still it was a damn sight better than Passion of the Christ or Moulin Rouge. Not as funny as Schindler's List that topped my list.

Yes, I agree with what you said. However, my point is that Billy didn't think "Gee, I'm Billy Lane. I know I can do a DUI and get away with it, so I guess that I can drive drunk." Every perp does it because they don't care or they think they can get away with it IRREGARDLESS of who they are in life.

I don't disagree that the Nazis were bad for Jews. However, just because that was something bad doesn't mean the film itself, not the event, didn't have funny parts that Steven Speilberg put in.

Well, apparently some New Yorker wasn't too wild about Borat either - Sacha Cohen approached a guy in New York this past Saturday night, in Borat mode, and asked him about his clothes. The guy didn't care for Borat and proceeded to punch him out - hit him several times in the face.

So if someone is being a moron and needs a wake up call you hit? Doesn't that lead us into chaos and anarchy? Or at least an assault and battery charge?

To drag it out further, if I don't like Mel for the Passion crap he produced, do I get to shoot him? What about the movie Moulin Rouge? That was a waste of my money as well as time. Do I get to beat them up too? Sounds like NY is full of jackasses then.

Doing this to people on the streets of NY by an idiot of the first water, is asking for trouble. If the reaction was only a punch in the face, he should think himself fortunate they didn't carry something more deadly.

All he did was ask about the clothes. I don't see anything wrong with what he did. Now, if he had grabbed the guy, that would be different. In the mall, there are people peddling their products and they are just as obnoxious. I don't beat them up for it. Now, if he didn't go away after being asked to, that is something else. If after I tell you to fawk off and you keep bothering me, you bet a hit is something justified.

Who knows what sort of person this might have been...do you seriously think that all people out and about in any city are stable rational people?

No, basing it off what Zeus said. Now if there are more facts, that might be different.

If the are not stable rational people, they should be off the street in a padded cell. If he is stable and rational, toss in jail and await trial.

So, is this action justified because it is Borat that is doing it or would you condone such action for anyone? IOW, if you piss me off in NY for whatever reason, do I get to assault you?
