Go visit Greg Moody's "Mercedes Entropy Workshop" in Elgin, TX. ...I guess that these days I actually have more exhibits at the workshop than Greg does (I have four or five cars stored out there).

Go by Dayton, Ohio and see the Wright Patterson air museum. It is better than the Smithsonian.

HI Tom,

Before you hit the Museums, find some Goood Texas BBQ!

The New Toyota Tundra PickUp Assembly Plant.

If you get to Kerrville, Tx. Bob Atwell has a Classic Car Museum, that is basically his Car Collection, that has a 1929 RR Springfield "Derby" Phaeton, Black in color, 1 of 6 built, only a handful left. My friend and mentor, Cal Zahn, owned that car for a long time before selling it to Bob Atwell. It still may be with the collection. If you get to Kerrville. I'll try to find out and let you know. YIA...Paul.

thanks everybody. i am in houston now. i pretty much just rushed down here. i will take a bit of time on the way back though. i am hoping to get to the mercedes factory in bama.

we may acutally do some barbeque too. tomorrow though we will be doing turkey! again.

last night when i was looking for a cheap motel i thinik i blundered into a rent by the hour place. it clearly was not full but the lady in charge said all rooms were rented at 815pm!

i did that once in brussells belgium. it got kindof noisy at night. and the folks at the desk kept looking funny at me my wife and child!

ha!

oh yeah! too late i am back in indiana!

turns out the way i came was not near the mercedes plant! alabama is on th eeast side of the mississippi! durn.

so i went to bill clinton's boyhood home in hope ark and his presidential library in little rock. a good stop for you clinton appreciators out there.

we also stopped at an antique mall and i got a couple of books. one is a 70 to 79 chiltons imported car repair manual. it has extensive mb specs in it.

so i am driving my 3/4 ton dodge truck with cummins, pulling the largest uhaul trailer available. so what is with folks who pull in about 10' in front of my bumper and slow down? are they crazy? but i avoided them and made it back safely. i really wanted to bump a couple of times though!

oh yeah, the weather was just outstanding. i didnt put my long pants back on til this morning. and it is about 60 out right now!

The day you posted this, a former white male Brandon, Mississippi high school teacher got sentenced to 40 years in prison for sexual battery of two female students (which he impregnated at 14 & 15). He plead down from two rape charges, which might have gone capital, with the Rankin County D.A., who as I am sure you know was institutionalized for schizophrenia before he was re-elected two years ago as the District Attorney for the County in which you live
