How About A Grill'in Forum?

Looking at some of the food threads I have seen here it's clear that I am not the only person that enjoys cooking and grilling here. Who else would like to see a food preparation forum here? I could teach you guys how to grill and smoke and maybe ya'll could teach me how to, well, do something I don't know how to do.

When I visited my German relatives they treated me to a cookout. But instead of the Weber grill, they set up a fire ring on the ground. Then they put up a metal tripod over it, from which they suspended a round grill with chains. The grill is adjustable up and down according to the heat you want. It was very clever and portable, and needs very little cleanup. The drawback is that its not enclosed.

Cap, it's 25 degrees outside in my backyard. The only thing that I want to throw on the grill at this time of year is myself.

I'm going to be throwing a 11lb turkey on the smoker on thursday morning (assuming it's not raining). I can't wait. Never smoked anything that large before. I usually smoke smaller game such as ribs, roast (pork and beef) chickens and the like.

I figure 8-10 hours at about 250....mmmmm I can taste it now.

Ya'll are missing the point. This thread is about creating a forum for this subject. It's not storytime yet! We have to get the forum first!

Ah, but what if the intro to the section is a how-to on constructing a barbecue grille from various parts of MB automobiles?

I had an uncle that made a grille out of an 18 inch wheel ( it may have been a AMG wheel, I don't know). Whatever it was it lasted a long time! Good times!!
