it was the ferret, not the pit bull

Someone posted a story about a baby in Louisianna recently, about a pit bull who allegedly chewed the toes off of an infant's foot.

It turns out, it was the ferret that did it. Go figure.

Either way, the parents should be jailed.

NATION IN BRIEF / LOUISIANA
Mother says ferret mutilated infant
From Times Wire Reports
December 21, 2006

A woman jailed in Benton after four of her infant daughter's toes were gnawed off says the family's pet ferret did it, not their pit bull pup as her husband had said.

"The way the bite marks were on her foot, the ferret being out of its cage, I knew it wasn't the dog," Mary Hansche, 22, told KTBS-TV.

Authorities said it did not matter which pet was at fault and jailed Hansche and her husband Christopher, 26, in lieu of $50,000 bond each, on charges of child desertion and criminal negligence. The infant is in state custody.

I have a pit bull in living in my house. Great pal, really. Razor sharp with precision judgement. Not a toy!

Any one with infants and/or toddlers in the house should focus on those rather than adding a pet to their responsibilities.

Ps. I like that '...your mind is moving' quote, thanks for the footnote.

I have a ferret. A bit on the silly side with horrible judgement. Likes to get stuck in places he can't get out of. Yes, he'd probably bite your toes off if you left them out for him.

If you say the PB did it, people would have a little more sympathy since the PB is known to be quick and the father could say he couldn't stop it in time before it did the damage. Now, if he said "Ferret", we will know that he wasn't watching the child for some length of time.

Because I insulted the troll twice and in addition to getting two infractions, you also get your thread deleted. Kind of makes it not worth it to get the infractions if everyone else can't enjoy the insult.

I think the dingo did it....as Bot once so eloquently (sp) put it :"The problem with the gene pool is that there is no life guard."

Thumbs up *** Make a punishment to fit the crime... ***

That baby had to go through f*****g hell/terror while an animal (ferret, pit bull, teddy bear, whatever) chewed her toes off.

Did the child make any sounds?

You bet - and then some.

Both blobs of puke (the parents) should have their feet stuck in stocks (like the old days), greased up with raw meat and let some animal loose on the ba****ds...nobody should be allowed to come to their "rescue" for four or five hours. Even if their toes have been chewed off in the first 10 seconds - just leave them both there, by themselves, until the time runs out.

The child? Hopefully, she'll get the therapy and loving care she's going to need with some other, non-gentically-related, set of adults/parents.

Let's hope, however, that some bleeding-heart set of morons better not be allowed to have the child sent off to some other branch of the family. Doesn't sound like that set of family members have enough gray matter between their ears to fill a cat-food dish.

Sorry if I've come up w/some "sick" thoughts on this - however, there should be no punishment too outrageous for dumb-f***s like those two.

Are there any judges or courts, w/nads, that would be willing to come, even close, to a just sentence for those two nim-rods?

The judge had the balls to put their asses in jail and take the child from them, unlike the pussy of a judge who let the guy who put his g/f kids in a dryer last week! I know the judge--trust me--if he could get away with it.......
