The World is Flat, by Thomas Friedman. One of the best books I have read about glodalization and the 21st century. Anyone who is interested in geopolitics, international companies, and globalization should read it. He also has some interesting views on radical Islam, and people like OBL.

Haven't read that one, but another good read on globalization is
Confessions of an EconomicHit Man, by John Perkins

Watch out Hat. Friedman is an old hand at the New Yawk Times!
Interesting guy though. I don't always see eye to eye with him but he can think on his feet all right.

I know he writes for the Times but I have never read his articals. I think this was a very well written book and a very fair one as well. You can tell a reporter wrote it because it is based on his own field research which is mostly interviews. He interviewed everyone from Indian's working in call centors, to Bill Gates and many CEO's of multinational companies.
Another good book is Adventure Capitalist by Jim Rogers, he drove that jacked SLK around the world.
