Face tattoos?

We were up in CT this weekend, in the Fairfield area.
There were at least a few 20-something girls working in the mall with tattoos behind and just below the left ear about the size of a nickel and also of asian characters on the jawline.
There were others, too, but the face ones struck me.

Call me an old codger, but in the realm of body art, isn't that a little severe?

I understand people will make their own choices, but if/when there are regrets about said tats, is the removal process really effective these days?

I jokingly thought to ask the one "Why does is say 'tramp', in Chinese on your face?"
Yeah, stupid, I know, but I kept it to myself.

I have seen in also on both guys and girls. I would think that this would limit earning potential in the future as many employers do still require a proffesional public image.

I can't see it either. But hey, whatever floats your boat..

One of the female partners here a few years got on a kick about what type of music to play on our telephone system, when callers were on hold.
She wanted classical and for a time, that's what we tuned up. zzzzzzzzz!;)

I finally pointed out to her that those folks calling us were our age or younger and really wouldn't be offended by lite rock or whatever.

So, maybe those tattoed 20 somethings will someday look across the interview table and think a clean shaven, clean skinned, articulate (oooh, that word!) applicant is outside the norm! :D :D

Ditto. Tattoos are like marriage you better make sure you want it cause it's gonna hurt likehell and cost alot of money if you want to get rid of it.

I was just thinking about that same thing!

That fellow would have more friends than he knew what to do with. He also might have trouble sitting down.
