Size of IE opening window, how to adjust.

Well figured I would get an answer the fastest here.
When I open IE from a link on the forum. Right now the size of the screen is just showing the top half. I want the new window to open fully. I used to know how to change this but can't seem to get it to remember the new size once I drag the sides to a full screen. I thought you draged the sides to the size you want. Close the new window and the one the link was in and I thought it would remember. Obviously not.
How do I get IE to remember the size I want when opened by a URL link??
I have IE 7.0.5730.11 with Windows XP.

Second question. I upgraded to Windows Media Player 11. Now I can't play any of my DVD's. And when copying a file to a CD or DVD. Windows tells me that I need to put in a blank CD or DVD when I have one already installed. If I use my Nero program it will copy fine. Old DVD's from about 10 years ago will play but new ones will not. I have PowerDVD installed.
I under stand that this is associated with Codecs and Microsoft covering their A$$.
I have DVDShrink 3.2 and DVD decrypter to copy my DVDs for my kids. And of course it will not work now. I have searched with Google about this and I guess the only solution is to format drive C: and reinstall everything and not let my computer upgrade to WMP 11. So much fun
Any knowledge out there about this???

Thanks.

Dave

I believe you have to drag the first open browser window to the size you desire. THEN the link that is opened from the original window will open to the same size.

Can't help on the WMP issue...sorry.

Depending on how long ago you installed WMP11, you should be able to do a rollback to a previous restore point.

Start
All Programs
Accessories
System Tools
System Restore

I'd try that first. You may lose recent files and pictures you may have added, but if you can port those over to a memory stick or two before the restore, you should be OK.

OR
Try this, if you're comfortable with the description.

I can tell you the description at the kensavage site worked for me.

You can get WMP10 again, here
