Where is cmac2012

Has anyone seen Carl?

The old hippie has not chimed for the last few days.

It is not normal for him to remain silent for this long.

Donde estas Carlos?

LaRondo 02-17-2007 05:52 AM

I reckon he's taking a break.
Now that 'MedMech' terminated his membership, Hippie-Carl is probably bored.

I hope that's the explanation.

BTW, doesn't a hit or two on the bong have a negative effect on hydraulic pressure.

Whew!! That's some like-minded female!!

Now that I've caught my breath from all that wallowing, let me say that rumors of my passing have been greatly exaggerated. Other rumors regarding me probably not exaggerated. :pirate:

I have an unusual living situation. I normally hang in Berkeley but I've got a warehouse down in the peninsula, 40 miles away, just north of Palo Alto in an industrial part of Menlo Park. I got it when I worked on the big $$ projects down here, and can't find anything comparable anywhere near B-town. It's all big stuff over there -- 3 and 4 thousand sq. ft. at around $1 a foot. My place down here is 1100 sq. ft. at something like $.89 a sq. ft. so I've still got it. Friggin' weird way to conduct a life, I'll tell you what.

Don't tell anyone, but when I have a bigger job down in this neighborhood, I crash in the office part of my warehouse -- supposedly not allowed but I'm tucked out of the way, no one takes notice. Don't have a hookup there, I'm dependent on the Palo Alto library and its T-1 web connection. Oh baby...

Doesn't hurt to take a break now and then.

Palo Alto is where Jerry Garcia had his part-time band, 'The New Riders of the Purple Sage'.
So just remember ... 'Panama Red' is back in town....

wikpedia-

Panama Red is a legendary cannabis sativa cultiv
ar of the 1960s and 1970s, popular amongst cannabis afficiandos. Panama Red is genetically related to Columbian Red.[citation needed] It is known for causing a racy, paranoia-inducing, psychedelic high. Cannabis culture died off in Panama with the rise of cocaine trafficking. Today, there are still panama red seeds available from collectors, but this strain is very rare.[citation needed]

"Panama Red" was a song played by Jerry Garcia with Peter Rowan in Old And In The Way in 1973. It was also recorded and play
ed by the New Riders of the Purple Sage (after Jerry had stopped playing with them). This particular type of cannabis is also mentioned in the song "Amsterdam" by Van Halen.

Ahh, Panama red. I remember well the taste and smell of the gourmet exotic smokes like Thai stick, Acapulco gold, and Panama Red. It's been 25+ years since, but I can still recollect the aroma and unique taste of those fine special delicacies. My my, hey hey .......:)

Took a short jaunt over to Montego Bay 2 weeks ago, 85+ degrees and humid as hell. Jamaican dollar worth a 1 1/3 cents. Amsterdam it ain't, but a pleasant place in it's own way. Kinda scary in other ways. Nonstop air and 4 nights at a decent resort for $500 bucks.

OK, back to the regularly scheduled program.

Yup. Things could sure be worse. Stuff went way down after the dot-com bust. Aye, and it's a bitter wind that don't blow some good. :)
