How Did You Meet Your Significant Other?
 

I have known my boyfriend for 17 years, we have been dating for 2, it took him 15 years to get up the nerve to ask me out.....met him through work.

My wife and I were introduced in a swimming pool. Both of us looked better when dry than looking like drowned rats.

My brothers girlfriend set us up.

I met my ex-wife in a nightclub.

I met my current long-time girlfriend at a dance club. I was teaching a class in Carolina Shag (a swing dance) . A tall, 6' 2" blonde with movie star good looks was watching the class. The rest is history.

I was with my friends at the local restaurant/pub. My wife was with hers and just finished dinner.

I had a beer sent over to her.......that was the most expensive Yuengling I ever bought.

I met my wife in university. She was with a friend who was trying to hit on me.

I met my wife at the company I was working for in Japan.

I was heading up the International division and she was the secretary for the Chairman of the company.

I was in the board room translating a meeting with some executives of an American company, and the rest is history.

She ended up taking advantage of my good nature.:D

She was a friend of a friend (who; I kinda had a crush on in HS) I put out a bulletin that I needed some people to play pool with (It's my favorite sport.)

She responded. We played pool. It took about a month or so until the "first kiss" It's very hard to find a good women around here...

So,not only did you have the balls to pursue her,but also were smart enough to to take your cue from her response.

I have no idea.
I just woke up one day - and there she was.
Like magic. :D

She and her girlfriend picked me up one night when I was hitchiking.

I saw her on the owners club forum. I returned from Luxembourg on a flight which landed in London City Airport. I tubed into Tottenham and fetched her...
Oh! You meant a woman, not the car. In which case I don't have one.

You must be awfully cute for two girls to pick you up hitching a ride, either that or it was a reaaallllly long time ago. Last time I hitched a ride was...holy crap 40 years ago. OMG.

Met when we were in HS. She lived in the next town over; there was no swimming pool in her school so she came each day to practice in my town. So, we also (like MS Fowler above) met in the pool.
