Looking for old Cub Cadet stuff...

This is such an eclectic group, I thought I might as well ask. If any of you has, or knows of someone with old Cub cadet tractors/ decks/ blades/ other accessories that are in any shape, I am interested.
I restore them for my own use and use by family members. ( They are the same sort of quality that MB is in cars--40 year old machines still in regular use).
My affliction is rather specific--I don't do Green machines, or Sears, or any other brand. I have a severe case of what's called " Yellow Fever", or sometimes "Red fever", depending on when it was made.

Send me a private message.

Thanks,
Michael

well, totally agreein' with you, but I don't have anything. Sold it a few years ago, the flywheel kept on breaking because we couldn't get it aligned perfectly and it got old. But it was a neat old mower, around 30 years old, 12 hp but never saw a load it couldn't handle, the new one is a twin cylinder 20 hp and you can kill it with good thick grass (a cub as well, apparently they're one of the best made still, if you buy the higher models with a cast transmission and kohler engine, but nowhere near what they used to be).

I restored an Original ( 1962) last year. It was my first, and then "yellow fever" hit. The Original has only 7HP--Its simply amazing what that 7HP can do, especially compared with the sheet metal "tractors" sporting 14-20HP that seem worn out in 5 years.

I have one... love it! It came with a snow thrower attachment which has set outside for quite some time. Any interest? I'll probably never get around to using it.

My dad bought an old 1110 from a guy 2 years ago. It needed nothing. He bought it for $250 and used it for a little over a year and sold it for $350. The guy he bought it from goes to shows and has quite a few of them. I don't have his number off hand but I will try to get it for you. I see him out at tractor shows here and there.

We'll keep an eye out down here.

Nothing here now. But I’ll keep an eye out, remembering your interest.
Gotta love old red power as well. We have a ‘47 Farmall Cub that we just love.

As for mowers - Nobody seems to make them like they used to. Too many bells and whistles these days, taking away from what the thing is intended for in the first place. Not to mention the money they want for riders these days. Wow.

Here’s a pic of the older Toro 11-32 that my daughter and I restored a few years back. Yep - She got to pick the color. We call it “Barney”. Probably not as tough as the older CCs, but it shows no signs of ever stopping.

I’ll keep an eye out around here for you. There’s an old mower graveyard on the way to Farmersville that we’ll be heading by this weekend. I’ll stop and see what they have. Anything specific? Years? Got part #s?

We have ties with enough air freighters to get it to MD. No worries there.

Thanks to all who responded. That was all I wanted--to get some of you looking. There are a couple of bargins on eBay, in Texas. But 1400 miles is just too darn far to go, even for a good price on the tractor.

Here is my cell # in case someone has a Cub emergency, and it just has to go NOW!

I have to agree with you on the older Cub Cadets. I've never experienced a more powerfull 7HP engine, but I do like my 1974 Sears garden tractor. It has a real frame and sports a 12HP onan engine (opposing cylinders). I would have taken my dads cub cadet (originally my grandfathers) but I prefer my 48" deck to his 32" deck.
