LOL! Such scathing criticism could have been avoided if you revived the Dauphine instead:

She might as well paint "look at me and what I can afford" on the side of her car. What could be more yuppie than that?
LOL....tru dat! She was probably drinking a Starbucks too!

Damn, rich Prius-driving, latte-sipping, snootie-uppity-yuppies! Oh, wait....this happened in Eugene, Oregon??

Yuppies wear Burberry, not Birkenstocks.

I hate Priuses

I cannot stand these Prius drivers gping about conspicuously-conserving abd being hoilier than thou... the best line I have heard about Prius drivers is from that TV show "The New Adventures of Old Christine" She says "I can'r be a racist, I drive a Prius" It seems that driving a hybrid gives them a free pass to do whatever they want while looking down their noses at the rest of us... If I read correctly, the lady went through a stop sign and then mouthed off... I would have smacked her with the Volvo to see which car holds up better -- 1980's Yuppiemobile or 2000's plastic fantastic!

Maybe she needs a medal, or just a chest to pin it on...

They can only look down on you if you let them. I don't care enough so it probably won't work.

Then he, I, and his old lady drove back from Eastern Wa. to Seattle in it and he saw how well it tracked and handled and everything -- he changed his tune.
My first car was a '66 Amazon 122S it sure ran like the devil and the best thing, there weren't any Yuppies around back then...

Later, I tried a 265 GLE Wagon, every option onboard, it was the one with the Euro V6. That thing ran just the same and actually it was the only car I noticed sliding in a straight track on snow with the front brakes blocked.

Funny thing and happy ending was ... I sold it to a Yuppie!! Well, he was a newcomer ...

Place must be the Asheville, NC of the West. I have represented about 10 kids there over the years for possession of very expensive weed and in about half of the cases, choclate covered psychadelic mushrooms from that area too. They all had fancy cars, pleanty of cash, ect....

Nike money? College towns don't count....

Nevertheless, when I hear the term "yuppie", I'm reminded of the traditional meaning of the term: Young Urban Professional.

I'm thinking Seattle is probably the closest, geographically to fit that definition. Don't get me wrong, I don't count Atlanta either... D.C., New York, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago....those come to mind.

Prius's are the leading cause of Smug..

I have been called a yuppie while driving my 300D. I simply replied.. "You sir must have me confused with your metrosexual BMW driving lame ass self.. good day to you"

Wait a save the world kiss Al Gore Prius driver called you a yuppie? Did she see the stupidity of that statement? I would have probably said f*ck you and driven off.

My budy has a Chevy 2500HD, when he was fueling up a Prius owner once accused him of destorying the earth and causing high fuel prices. He said "at least me truck doesn't look like a dog *****."

My idea of an environmentaly friendly car is opting for the smaller engine in the S class. But I still want the rare endagered tree to be dragged out of the rain forest, and stuck on the dash and doors.
