I highly doubt this. If anything it would be the other way around. Bud is HUGE when it comes to sales and volume of beer produced. Uh, sorry, I mean volume of pee.

That seems sort of like Daimler Benz buying Chrysler. Ridiculous! Oh, wait a minute. . . never mind.

Budweiser is a product of Anheuser Busch, the General Motors of the beer industry! Heineken making a bid for A-B is kinda like the tail wagging the dog, isn't it?

WSJ had a blurb about the subject a few weeks ago. From what I recall, Heinekin is handling Budweiser in Colombia, SA.

AB is a lot bigger than Budweiser too, btw.

Heineken is not really considered a high end beer in it's native country, I would call it the Bud from the low lands.

Talking *** You never "buy" a beer - you "rent" it... ***

The joke we used to hear up here (north of St. Louis, on the Mississippi River) was this...

"Flush twice, it'll bypass the treatment plant and get bottled in St. Louis faster."

"Butt-weiser."

Everyone's old staple and favorite (Could be said about ANY brand, but more associated with Bud.): "Horsepi55."

What other derogatory "re-brandings" have you heard concerning either your favorite or most-despised brand(s) of beer?

What strikes me most is the fact that "Budweiser" stole the name of the Czech town were originally one of the finest beers, even "royal" ever has been brewed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8Cesk%C3%A9_Bud%C4%9Bjovice

There for to me, "Budweiser", known as the american brew, is a matter of tasteless liquid.
