(You've since gone back for a GED, right? )

Thanks for the laughs.

Reminds me of Jr High and High School. We sure thought we were funny, anyway.

My friend teaches Hispanic kids near San Diego. One of her vocabulary sentences read "At Christmas time, department stores are full of ________ shoppers."

The idea was to insert an adjective, but one kid added the word "white." When she asked him to explain his use of that particular word, he said "Well, you don't see black or Mexican people in Macy's. Mexican people shop at the Dollar Store."

One of the highest levels of stress I ever encountered was a Calculus final. It was an oral exam. One on one. In the professor's office. In an unairconditioned office. In the summer. In the uninsulated attic of a former high security area of a mental hospital with steel bars on the windows ( nice effect!). He put a clean sheet of paper on the desk, gave the probelm, and then stood over my shoulder making sad groaning noises everytime I wrote anything.
My current position does not require Calculus.

Holy Mackeral! I'd have flunked just walking up the stairs!
