cell service.

i presently have cell service with verizon. i have about 1500 minutes prime time and nothing free like nights or weekends. i have no roam charges anywhere in the us and no long distance anywhere as well. i am paying i think about 180 per month.

note that there are NO long distance or roam charges.

anybody know of another alternative that offers the same deal for significantly less dough?

Woot. The IT place I work for put me on their plan, but I pay my share.

I get unlimited everything. $52.00 a month. Data, Text, Picture, Minutes, you name it... Nothing like enterprise service!

i reupped with verizon. i combined my phone with my mrs. and my daughter's. 3000 minutes prime time, no long dist. no roam charges, unlimited nights weekends and other verizon phones. costs 180 for all three phones.

i got a rayzr phone which i like but the book 'splaining it all really sucks. so far i just have figured out how to call. i can't figure out how to use the camera or download pics or anything.

it sure is cute though.

TMobile is has pretty good deals, most people at school have the 600 or 1000min plans, $40/$50 per month, no roaming charges, no long distance. I'm on prepaid, which works out pretty well too, since I don't talk too much. I'm using a TMobile MDA, Windows Mobile phone, you can get it free with the 600 minute plan through some resellers.

I'm currently paying $50/month for two phones (family plan) with T-Mobile. Their rates beat the pants off of Cingular and I like their customer service better.

I was with Cingular since the old days when it was SBC (1999 or so) and they always managed to get me to extend my contract so I could never cancel.

I eventually just cancelled with them, paid the $150 cancelation fee and was done with it.

Think about how much you spend per month, you'd be better off paying a cancelation fee and signing with a cheaper provider (like T-Mobile).

You guys will probably hate me then. Theres a cell phone company here in california in the bay area ( as well as a few places in florida, detroit, texas and georgia) that have a cell phone service called METRO.

The deal is for $50 a month you get UNLIMITED, MINS. Unlimited text messages, unlimited, long distance. NO catch no contract nothing.

My total bill comes out to be 55 bucks usually after taxes, but I can stay on the phone 24 hrs, a day for the whole month and my bill will be the same.

sounds good!

i still havent figured out how to do a lot of the very basic things that i want to do, which is about 1% of what the phone will do.

it is beginning to remind me of the latest version of the nascar website where they now want you to to all these things which cost money.
