I am applying for summer jobs, one of the places wants my driving record. I can't find anywhere that will give it to me for less than $30... anyone do these for their business or something and have unlimited service, or know of a free source?

Just walk into your local police station, explain what you need it for, and ask for it. That's what I did. Out in 5 minutes - report in hand.

Where I live the local cops won't give it to you, but the Department of Motor Vehicles has to give it to you (May be called Dept. of Public Safety, ect....where you are, but you know--where the State Troopers hang out). You can also request that your insurance agent get you a copy but that is kind of like going around your elbow.....

The Career Services center will here as well. State run of course.

I tried the police station... no go. I'm headed to the DMV and Career Services if necessary.

Talk to your insurance company. My insuance company pulls mine every reneal to see if anything has changed.

Well the DMV had it... but wouldn't take the $3 in cash. I had to go to the post office, get the money order, go back through super intense security, and finally got it. When I asked her for a few extra copies, no go. They just love making you jump hoops for the simplest little things don't they?
