Windows Vista question

Just got a new laptop with Vista installed. Choose Firefox as my browser, but it won't let me play videos or download plugins. Videos work just fine on IE. What's up with that ?

Has Firefox been updated or certified to run with Vista?

Try looking here -

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=firefox+vista

I would wait another month or so for Mozilla to release a patched version for Vista.

" All firefox versions crash Vista on certain web sites " Oh boy,,, I can hardly wait. Guess I'll be using the hated IE for awhile.

IE7 actually has been working really nicely for me. It has all the main features Firefox has - tabs, RSS support, etc. Security has been beefed up for Vista, so it should be stable/safe for, oh, a few weeks anyway.

IE7 and Vista work really really well together. The security on both of them is good, not great, but its alot more secure than it was before. I actually only use IE7 now. It just works that much better now than it has before.

I've heard that Vista is not even compatible with Microsoft's OWN software, much less anybody else's. Yeah, Mac is the way I'm going.
