If for one day we don't have moderators, I will go CRAZY with stupid, foul, inappropriate posts just so the moderators know how much we miss them.

I think that it would be safer to unlock the gates of Attica for one day.

For an idea of how that could turn out, even when loosely moderated, Benzworld "offtopic" will give you an idea of what can happen.

It could be a real trainwreck, if you ask me. One of their habitues just recently joined up here, jumped in hard with both feet and brought that attitude here, and I have the feeling he got his "wings clipped", as he's been absent recently.

The Gates of Hell would be a more apt analogy.

Or the Gates of Bellevue Mental Hospital.

Yep, they jostle every day, but today was one of those 'all out' battles that happen from time to time. It's what they do on their own.

I do think it would be interesting if the Mods opened one thread for 48 hours, that‘s it.
Each member gets one post to said thread, that’s it. Each members’ post can only be five lines or less, that‘s it.
Anything you want to say. But, no outright vulgarity. No porn.
Anyone breaks a rule - instant ban. The thread stays on OD for 24 more hours after lock-down for all to read, that’s it.
Then - It’s deleted by the opening Mod.

I don’t see where this would cause too much harm to the forum. But then, I’m no forum expert either.
The interesting thing would be the posts that turn out to be nothing like you’d perhaps expect from a particular member. On the other hand. Many may be a simple waste of time. As we certainly know what some members would have to say. They try different angles of it all but daily.

Why would the Mods need to get involved? Start your thread and state your parameters. Close the thread whenever you wish.

I’m thinking Mods, because it would more than likely contain some "personal attacks". Those would be allowed. The Mods/Master would have to OK such a thing. I’ll gladly open it to the floor with their approval of a “no holds” (except rules as stated) thread.

What would happen is that certain members would say nasty things about other members, I guarantee it. I'd bet my E430 on it. Then after the thread is closed, there would be unresolved arguments, and these would manifest themselves in all kinds of innuendos, backstabs, insinuations and references in dozens of other threads, daily, in this forum. Kind of like the way it is now, only elevated.

All of which I'd have to follow, sift through, answer PMs and reports, and try to make sense of it all and who started what, when and where and who gets the little red card.

So...fun idea, but not on my watch, please and thank you. ;)
