The Sears Roebuck catalog is better, plus it makes for great toilet paper...

What about the part about "go and sin no more?"

I think that tehre is a three-part contract here.

If Charlie Manson believes in God, is he forgiven for what he did? Even if he does it again?

I am confused here.

Hell, for that matter, the Victoria's Secret catalog trumps them both. I'll just hold out for the real thing, though.

I once prosecuted a child molester. Among the items that he collected (which included massive amounts of hardcore child pornography) there were 100s of Sears, J.C. Penney and Monkey Wards catalogs.

All the pages showng young kids modeling underwear (boys and girls) were dogeared.

He claims that's how he got his start.

Well, either belief is all that is required or it is not. Christians are fond of saying that belief is all that is required. However, later on, they tell you about the "go and sin no more" part once they have you in. My figuring is that if they told you everything you had to do, they might not get enough people to enter that faith. So they tell you it takes only a little and slowly tack more on.

Did rascally old King David and Saul continue in their behaviors, or was their behavior modified? By whom. Was it " required" or a result?

I was taught that the whole accept Jesus as your savior was all that was required. The rest I will sum up as try to be the best person you can be but you can not help but sin, its your nature.
