So the choices are to avoid language altogether, or accept the view that language implies God.

All languages imply the Absolute.
In the 'Nothing exists' problem is it that nothing exists or that nothing exists... how about 'no thing exists?'

Either way, some 'thing' is uttering or writing the sentence so we get pushed back into the dilemma's of being and language. Language is not going to let either us or God or objects not exist.

exist-
1. To have actual being; be real.
...

seems it's a question of the 'actuality' or the 'realness'

I've allways felt it wasn't necessarily a great idea to keep it real all the time.

Yes. I'm under the impression that EPrime is just trying to avoid the problem. Minimize the use of 'to be' and the problem might disappear into the background.
Our language assumes that things are real (nouns) and they move or effect other things(verbs). I think this causes the questions such as "What does it mean to be real" or "How real are real things?" There doesn't seem to be any straightforward easy answer to those questions, but I see no point in covering them up, particularly since we draw distinctions all the time between more and less real things (dreams vs. material objects).

What does it mean to be? To be the subject of a meaningful true proposition????

Relatively nothing... therefore God exists!... as long as you don't say so.

How about this: Only things and concepts are named. We "name" a vacuum because we lack the conceptual ability to leave that which has no possibility of definition, undefined. Thus, we say, "the vast nothingness of space." Hmm, no, that doesn't work, either.

Space exists as a hyper-dimensional field of potentialities.

Kerry, I'm feeling sucked into your universe in which language implies God.

Hmm, thinking about it some more. Is this the problem that Huserl (sp) dealt with through framing and epoche? Might have to try slogging through that dense stuff...again. It whupped me the last time.
