Zeppelins had Maybach diesel engines.
Mercedes bought Maybach many years ago and kept it in the drawers.

There used to be a mechanic in every engine compartment, during the flight of the Zeppelin, somewhere back by the tailwings. Practically outside. Maybe I can find some pics ...

Hindenburg was powered by four 16-cylinder diesel engines, two per side in a staggered arrangement. Each engine developed 1300 HP for five minutes at takeoff, and 850 HP for cruising.

This view is of the port-side forward engine. The rear port-side engine car is seen at the left of the photo.

We don't call them "Broetchen", in Bayern it's Semmeln or "Die Semmel" for singular. Karl Valentin had a sketch on the Semmelnknoedeln, in which he insistet on the "n" between Semmel and Knoedel ....He was a Munich original comedian, friggin' funny that guy.

The Linzertorte is actually from Austria, I geuss, like the Linzer Schnitten ...

Oh, btw, I used to live in Miami, not too long though ... if I ever get a chance I'd go back there, I love Florida.

You have any other questions I can answer for you a$$ hole?

If you want to ban me for calling him an a$$ hole, fine by me. I lost family members because of that SOB and I do not take kindly to someone making light of what that piece of scum did to the world. There are certain places you just don't go to in civilized society and he jumped in with two feet.

All I need to say is "it's a free world." You want to call me an ass? Go for it. It does not hurt me in the least bit.

Hitler did what he did, nobody can alter it. Some people appreciate history more than others.

Isn't that something .... some just can't handle it

what matters is the presense.
