Thumbs down to the scumbag who stole from me!

I am currently parting out a 1993 300e at my shop. This weekend someone came to the shop and stole the trunk lid and five rims and tires. How much of a cheap ass loser are you to steal from me? I was parting the car out cheap. There was no reason to steal from me.
Now, there are two things you don't know.
1. I have night vision video cameras at my shop. And I will have you put in jail on principle. I had an employee steal $1500. from me while I was in the hospital. I told the police I wanted jail time, not money.
2. My pockets are deeper than yours. Trust me. I will offer $1000 for information leading me to you. I am not concerned about the parts you stole...the car was going to the junkyard on the 20th of this month. I feel violated, because you came to my home and took without asking.
Dave

It's messed up. I concider myself a reasonable person. If I was offered $50.00 for all five rims, I would have taken it. I'm taking the car out to the junkyard on Monday. All the parts listed in my other thread are off the car already. I'm going to look at the video tonight and see what I got there.
I believe bad things happen to those that do bad things. I hope that motherf**ker has a blowout on those tires and dies in a fiery death.

Just like here we moved into a new house in November of last year, I had 2 Mercedes radiators and AC condensers sitting beside my garage door, was running late that night with getting unloaded, so I left them there, didn't think anything about it. Came home after work next day and they were gone. The next week someone stole a bunch of electrical wire I had thrown in a wheel barrow outside my shed. They only took the wire, after moving other stuff off the top of it...Now neighborhood teens wonder why I own't let them cross my yard!!!!! After putting up with stinking theives, am tempted to put up a 6-8 foot tall fence, or an electric fence and let the cross the yard at their own risk!!!!! I had enough wire to wire my garage with, so now I've had to go out and buy wire....That really ticked me off when they stole the wire....So much for the days of being able to trust your neighbors.....

It says love thy neighbor, not a mention of trust. I will not leave anything within the reach of a freeloader. They are everywhere.

Sounds more like the scrap metal gypsies to me. They are all over here. Not the type things teens would take.

I knew a man in school who had his old Nova break down on the highway. By the time he got back the next day, his radiator and battery were missing.

I'm sure that many of you know someone who was in a similar situation.

Around here, if you leave anything unattended made out of copper or even POSSIBLY made out of copper, it will disappear faster than free beer. Copper brings is a good buck for oxy, meth, etc. People have had parts stolen from their homes while they were in it!

I can guarantee those parts, and wire were stolen by a scrapper. I owned a recycling company in Ct. for a long time, until I sold it last year. These guys will take anything not bolted down, for a few bucks more worth of scrap dollars out of the back of their greasy rusty pick-up trucks. On countless occasions, people came to me to retrieve their stolen items. I would also get parts, and things that were either pretty close to, or brand new for scrap. I had to start marking stuff coming in at night for a while, because they would hop the fence at night, steal from my yard, and come back with it the next day for scrap dollars. Your radiators went through a frag machine, got bailed up and shipped, or went into a pile where they still sit. I'd bet anything the copper electrical wire has been stripped, and had same fate. These fat greasy slobs can be surprisingly athletic if it means another five bucks added to their load of materials for scrap.
