Extracting stripped out screws from something

I have a Makits screw driver/drill I have been trying to get apart to see if I could replace the brushes in. All but one of the screws has come out, but the last one is striped (the head is stripped). Any suggestions for getting that little bugger out?

Screw hole blind? or can you see the tip of the screw end poking thru the other side?
If they're phillips that hold the plasic case together hie thee to a hardware store and get a counterclockwise drillbit slightly smaller than the screw shank, you probably won't need an easy-out.

I was gonna say drill it out... but. :) If you have a dremel tool you can maybe cut a new slot in the head. Otherwise maybe find an "easy out" small enough?

Oh man, when easy outs work, it's like the sexual bliss of the hardware world. On small screws, it can be tough. I find a dremel and little carbide ball tip bit (real little) is good for getting a hole started so you can get the bit in the center where you need it.

What's an "easy out?"

Yeah, it's in a plastic case in a recessed hole and it stops inside the case (doesn't stick out the other side of the case).

Thanks, I'll try that.
