Last of the hand built?
|
ewwwww. That thing blows. Look at this dealer's *OTHER* cars for sale, almost all of them Cadillac and Chevy Impala low riders. HARDLY an authority on Mercedes history, I would think. This car should have remained stock, and at its stock height. This is what happens when rodders and customizers get their hands on a Mercedes classic. those guys should stay with their tubbed '32 Deuce coupes in chicken fat yellow.
Look again, this thing was made into a low rider too, or else the suspension is collapsed. It looks horrible in a two tone. And no, it is NOT the last of the had built ones. Maybe closer to hand assembled, (though that would be more likely a '71 350SE cabrio, in my opinion) but there's a difference between hand - "assembled" and hand - "built" |
Yeah, they ruined a nice old Benz.
|
Perhaps this is more to your taste in hand builts?

Try again - not sure what happened there!

Works now, thanks.
That looks to be more of an art car, with lots of cultural influences. Fine by me -- an artistic expression. The 280 is just pure nonsense. If you want a bad ass lowrider, do it to a '77 Coup de Ville, not an old Mercedes. Doesn't make sense. |
Look at meeeeeeeeeee
^^^^^^That's just absolutely vulgar, a Mercedes Ponton automobile covered in mink fur, diamonds, rubies, emeralds and gold plate. ickkk
|
Lowered my ass.
I say we take the guy out and shoot him for ruining that beautiful old MB. Not many MB's in "da hood" (at least not the kind you'd want). |

Wasn't my 88 560 SEC, AMG EURO, all hand built, or just hand assembed, or neither...? I've been told it was some sort of Hand-Job car, by some of my friends...HMMM.
I've gotta go shave my palms, see you all after... I can't see the keyboard where are my glasses...? |

Hand jobs, heh.
AMG motors are hand assembled, to a point. Check out the AMG propaganda on the Merc website. |
