Saw Grindhouse yesterday.

Being Easter Sunday I wanted to see a relevant movie and Grindhouse seemed a good bet. Tarrantino never dissappoints except for the endless BSing of the gals in the second movie. I almost left during their diatribes, but glad I stuck around for the end. If you are a Tarrantino buff, he is over the top again.

"Reservoir Dogs" remains unforgettable. Steely Dan's "Stuck in the Middle With You" will always be associated with that movie in the ear slicing scene!

Tarantinos,,,, unbelievably so,,,, but it's worth the wait. The movie trailers inbetween the features were priceless,,, 'Thanksgiving' especially.

I'm relieved when I read reviews saying that the endless chatter was detracting from the Tarantino flick. I thought I've just been getting anti-social in my old age but it's good to hear that I'm not the only one who didn't see the point of all that chatter.

I liked the Rodriguez pic better. Didja know he's actually going to make Machete as a straight-to-DVD?

Ya know, my g/f is a spoilsport. I so wanted to play "Ship's Mast" on the way home... shades of high school, haven't done that in years. it was frightening enough in a Sterling 825SL, can't imagine what it's like with a 440 Magnum below your shoulder blades...
