An expensive summer to drive

Gas prices in Mpls. are some of the lowest in the country, 87 octane is $2.66-2.99/gal and $3+ around other parts of the country.

It looks like $4/gal is a reality.

It already is here. I'm paying $1.20/L for 94 octane and that's $4.04/gallon in USD.

I paid $2.99 per gallon premium on the Garden State Parkway in NJ Sat. night.
$3.05 for premium at some local stations here. I'tll be 3.50 here before July 4, I'm guessing.

Doesn't look like a good year for boaters either. Gas at the docks will be beaucoup dollars.

What else is new. Summer is here and the prices are up. I bet gas will be near the $5.00/gal. mark in the marinas. I'll be doing as much driving and boating as I can afford to.

I'm more concerned with the price of everything corn (ethanol) related since my food bill is a more significant chunk of my budget (both at home and work) than fuel.

Everything around here is over $3. Of course that will go up as we deal with another supply emergency.

PS. I stand corrected. gasbuddy.com found a few places at $2.95!!

You got a car that runs on ramen noodles? Are you gonna start a ramen noodle thread now?

My 9yo could live off those if we let him and actually they were a staple during my UConn years. The amount of sodium is scary, though!

Wyoming exports oil, you would have to look to find a drop of imported oil in the state. We are paying almost as much as anyone else. For you folks who believe in the myth of free trade, 'splain please.

WVO would be interesting to mess with. Not enough garage space for such a project however...

No thanks to the higher WI gas tax. The MN legislature is trying to push through a bill to increase the gas tax, on par with WI. Mainly Dems...
