can someone please tell me how do I release the tension on the serpentine belt on a 1998 E320?:confused:

First, go on any of the parts sites, like Buy Parts above, and click in you car. Then find the Belt Tensioner Assembly. See the hex nut. It doesn't twist, but rather is there to allow you to put you to lever the tensioner with your ratchet and socket. You will lever down counter-clockwise. Be careful as there is a lot of tension.
