Talking Well.... I have gone american!

Not by choice of course, but my grandfather recently passed away and left me his 1956 Ford F100. I thought i would never own an American car, especially not a FORD But my grandfather really wanted me to have it. I like it. Being a 56' i guess its a real classic.

Oh my, how distasteful, an American car! You'll be kicked out of the club for sure!

Those are very cool trucks. Wait until you work on it, you will grow to love it! Everything is metal and you can practicaly sit in the engine bay as you work on the engine! They are not complicated plastic fantastic things like modern trucks.

they are one of the most beloved of all 'merican trucks.

one like the picture above might even go for as much as 30k if it is as nice everywhere as the paint looks.

excellent aquisition.

sorry about your grandfather....

you can smile when you think of the excellent taste he had in trucks.

Yea im going to look more at it sometime this week, it wont be on the road anytime soon, thats for sure as gramps had started restoration. With all the rust taken care of, it needs the engine over hauled (big v-8). then put back together and painted. it seems like a big project, but their is only one way to find out

Trade you an 82 f150, and a 95 escort for it...

Both run and drive, but 3rd gear in the escort just asked me to join it in suicide. I tried to interviene, but it's dead and gone... It's such a shame, but with all the hell I've put this poor little car through, I was expecting something eventually. RIP 3rd gear, I've now got a 4 speed...

Post up some pics of that badass truck PLEASE

I'm with don on the drooling

Very cool stc (sorry to hear about your grandfather, though)! Nothing wrong with slumming amongst the common folk every now and then. We're not all bad
