I saw a sick Volvo today!

I went to the bank today before class and I saw a sweet Volvo 240! It was painted very nicely dark blue, with a lot of the stupid body acents removed. Had a nice shiney new grill and what looked like some sort of aftermarket headlights. They looked like W126 Euro lights. It was slightly lowered with very nice wheels, and painted brake calipers. Someone put a lot of work into it, the thing was totaly redone. I was going to talk to the owner but I was in a rush to get to class, so I just drove by and checked it out.

Its always nice to see a classic euro car that someone put some effort into, its pretty rare. Everyone does muscle cars it seems.

I really wish I had time to talk to the owner.

In contrast to the good taste shown by that car, I saw a 280S 108-body car today that about made me cry. Beige exterior in fair condition, set off by 18in? wheels and super-low-profile tires. That was bad enough, but the brake calipers and centers of the rotors were day-glo orange. The wheels didn't have center caps, so the bright orange hubs showed through the wheel centers. Shameful. I don't mind tasteful mod's but good grief, that was like seeing my grandma in a leather miniskirt...just not a good idea.
