Will the war supporters call this another "isolated" case?

Let me guess. The war-hawks around here will call it another "isolated" case, right?

Are you suggesting that there's a general order to shoot civilians?

i don't believe he said that.

and it is an unfortunate thing. many unfortunate things happen in a war.

too bad some of the things seem to have been encouraged or at least not discouraged enough by our higher up leaders.

Those reports must make the insurgants pretty happy. They just need to keep it up a bit longer and we will lose our resolve and leave.

What it did not report is that pretending to surrender is a commen tactic used by the insurgants.

I support our guys and give them the benifit of the doubt.

You're implying the same pattern as whatsisname. In essence, implying the military of condones war crimes. Why do you and whatsisname have such difficulty in making an honest accusation?

i think if a survey were taken....i mean other than the mid term election...it would show that the majority indeed have lost their resolve and now just want to get our troops home as safely as possible.

unfortunately whenever we leave there will undoubtably be a blood bath.

A) You have to put a dollar in the jar each time you use the word "Resolve" now.

B) It was much smaller blood-bath before, no?

I'm not saying we shouldn't leave Iraq, I just don't like these stories. They make the army look bad, I dislike anything that makes the military look bad. More so these because I am sure their is another side that BBC left out.

That is because it is.

But, hey, if you can't blame the source, or call it an "isolated" case, and you've used "resolve" too many times... reality will have to prevail sooner or later.

But hey, let's throw another 3000 or so bodies and a few more billion dollars at it. That'll help us win.

Right?

Without any evidence in support of your assumption, you guys believe that there is a conspiracy for murder.

Dick Durbin loves you.

What's the alternative? Ignoring the allegations damages our already lousy reputation. General Petraeus doesn't think we should ignore allegations against our military. Look at the open letter he released yesterday: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/nation/documents/petraeus_values_051007.pdf

It make me ill, though, to think of soldiers fighting in Iraq while we sit here and complain. It's a lousy situation.

The "other side" of course, is the savage butchery by the Iraqi fighters, detonating car bombs with children in the cars, torture by drilling into people's skulls with electric drills, death squads, and the similar incomprehensible acts done on a daily basis.

None of them are held to account for it, and it is SO common it's not particularly newsworthy. That whole place is a living hell for everyone there
