It's a wonderful place if you like the great outdoors. Apart from the obvious attraction of the Grand Canyon and as has already been mentioned Meteor crater. There's Walnut Canyon and Wupatki if you like Indian ruins. Also Sunset Crater is a neat drive. And there are numerous great hikes on the SanFranciso Peaks. Especially the one to the top of Mt Humphry's. 12633 feet. Highest point in the state. There's also the lava cave a bit to the west of Flag which is an interesting experience in itself. Lowell Observatory has some pretty neat tours, both daytime and night time. If you're a party animal I'm afraid I cant help you...

Take the skywalk the indians built over the Grand Canyon and give us a report. Looks pretty extreme to me.

I would not visit the skywalk...it is neither on the North or South Rims...it is on an Indian Reserve independent of any of the national parks. You have to pay a fee to get on the reserve (~$10 a car), a fee to be on the tour package in order to GET to the skywalk (~$50 PER PERSON), and another fee to get on the skywalk (~$25 PER PERSON)...the total was around $80US per person, assuming two people go...you cannot bring your camera onto the skywalk either to take pictures...you have to hire their "professional" photographers...

I would personally visit Sedona...that is where I am headed this weekend...

Drive to Williams and take the steam train to the Grand Canyon for a one-day tour.

In Flagstaff go to Oregano's Pizza Bistro. Great pizza and lots of young people from the nearby university.

Oregano's

Take a short drive to Sedona. It is a neat place.

Visit Lowell's Observatory.

Lowell's Observatory

Pluto was "discovered" there.

You're right. It is on the West Canyon.

My bad.

Sedona is a great place. Sort of like Santa Fe, NM...

Route 66, baby!

If you do go to Sedona . . . try lunch or dinner at the Enchantment resort . . ask to sit outside if the weather/temp permits.

And be sure to say hi to my aunt. I spread her ashes there last May too.
