Don't remember if it is CCI but I have seen some that you had best not reload. Also knew someone who tried to reload those and 1 in 5 would split in the gun. Not good.

He did mention that some were of a different color than brass. They are probably a shiny nickel or some sort of finsih. But I think the ones you are talking about are CCI which I don't reload

Here is a picture of the styles that I have.
Left most is the reload in question. Second from left is a reload with brass case. Second from right is what is in the clip when I'm not practicing. Right most is brand new, out of the box Winchester brand.

The leftmost looks like a steel casing. I get these sometimes with the Ultramax reloaded ammo that I buy.

I might start reloading one day, but not for the price; only for the consistency. The price of the ammunition means very little compared to my time. Perhaps one day things will be different, but not today.

I didn't have a choice. Range said NO JACKETED BULLETS. IF THERE IS ANY COPPER, YOU CANNOT SHOOT HERE. So I have to reloads or reload my own. I don't want to use reloads because the QC sometimes sucks. I got some reloads that had split cases. No thanx. So, if I reload my own, I can inspect the cases. Also, I am using a brand with harder lead so it won't foul up a Glock's octagonal shaped barrel

An octagon is a polygon.

I've never had a split case with Ultramax reloaded ammo. The stuff is more powerful that I would prefer for target ammo, but it's pretty much the only game in town for .40SW.

At 12 o'clock it reads: FC

At 6 o'clock it reads: 9mm+P+

I have no idea how many rounds for sure but I would guess at no less than 3000. No feed issues as yet. Just started with the 45 and the first 250 are fine.

An octagon is an 8 sided polygon. Just as a pentagon is a 5 sided polygon. All the word polygon means is a closed plane figure bounded by straight lines. Penta, Hexa, Octa, etc, etc are just being more specific in how many sides there are to the "gon"

But what about Tarragon? It's not plane how many sides it has.

You got me there. Wife doesn't allow me to cook since I tried to get the meat off the skull part of the deer horns with her best soup pot. I kept the horns and the skull part we cut off the head and there was some meat left on the skull part. Figured the fastest way was to boil it off. The dogs got excited tho and the place stank. She said the pot was never smell free again and we got a new one.
