VIN doesnt work on mbclub.ru?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to run this vin: WDBDA24C8FF071952
here: http://www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng but it cant decode it. i ran it through carfax and it does show up as a valid vin. are there some vins that just wont work? Last edited by Adam Brooks; 05-26-2007 at 03:15 PM.

verify the actual vin on the car, the vin you posted is definately invalid or not accurate

One possibility is that when the car was first registered, human error goofed up the VIN number. I had a similar problem with my euro twincam, where the Mercedes standard WDB was listed as WCE. It took more than a couple DMV visits to correct the VIN.
I suspect that Carfax only takes the VIN information from the various DMV records and nobody has ever bothered to correct the VIN on this 190E.

i even tried WDB2010241F071952 using epc and it was still in error
found this one on ebay from same year WDBDA24C6FF034060 and in mercedes epc inconverts to this WDB2010241F034060 and it goes fine

While there are some VIN's the Russian site will choke on, this shouldn't be one of them. I believe the VIN is probably invalid.
